Shortlist announced for Prix Pictet Space

The shortlist for the seventh cycle of Prix Pictet was announced recently. The theme for this cycle is Space –  a theme that offers a wide range of creative possibilities and a strong set of connections to the Prix Pictet’s overriding theme of sustainability.

As always, the shortlist contains a selection of the worlds most noteworthy photographers. The full shortlist for Prix Pictet Space is as follows;

Thomas Ruff | Germany

Mandy Barker | United Kingdom
Pavel Wolberg | Russia

The winner of the seventh Prix Pictet award (CHF100,000) will be announced by Kofi Annan at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London on Thursday 4 May 2017.

Prix Pictet Space will then embark on a world tour beginning with scheduled exhibitions in New York, Zurich and Stuttgart.

The work from the shortlisted artists, together with  outstanding images from the wider submission will appear  in the book Space, to be published by teNeues next year. The portfolios of the shortlisted artists can be viewed online at www.prixpictet.com
