History
Candlestar was established in 2003 with two fundamental aims - to help make great cultural projects happen and to deploy our skills and networks to deliver high quality partnership projects in arts, education and business. Candlestar operates at the heart of an informal network of companies and individuals who come together to offer our clients in the arts, business and education sectors all the advantages of working with a big agency for a fraction of the normal cost.
Since 2003 Candlestar has grown rapidly to the extent that it is now a highly regarded international consultancy that operates from offices in London and Tehran. Candlestar has built strong relationships with major universities, auction houses, art fairs, galleries and museums throughout the world. We have also established a roster of emerging and renowned artists with whom we work closely. Our recent programme of exhibitions featuring artists from Iran had its roots in the development of artists’ projects for the inaugural Gulf Art Fair and led on to exhibitions such as Masques of Shahrazad (2009), Tahereh Samadi Tari at Volta NY (2009) and Abbas Kiarostami: a photographic overture with Purdy Hicks (2009).
