Angel Orensanz
Angel Orensanz creates interactive sculptural installations that are displayed in public spaces. Angel's sculptures have been displayed amongst other in Budapest, Akita, Central Park NYC, Brussels, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Lisbon. The latter was at the Water Museum Lisbon in 2006. Angel continues to exhibit globally and his work forms part of major international collections.
For the 52nd Venice Biennale he showed a body of work which then toured to the Angel Orensanz Foundation in New York. The Foundation, which Orensanz founded, has supported numerous independent artists as well as organisations including PS1, The Goethe Institute, the Italian Cultural Institute and a variety of educational institutions to develop educational and artistic projects.
Candlestar is committed in promoting recognition of Angels' work in the UK, and the display of these fascinating installations in exhibitions and other public spaces.
