Darioush Gharazad

Born in 1976 in Tehran, Darioush Gharazad started his art education in the ateliers of Mr. Moheb Ali, Mr. Vakili and Mr. Moslemina. His style is hyper realistic. He uses colour and composition to concentrate on the social and urban issues of modern-day Tehran, particularly on its booming youth culture. He focuses on women in his art, and reinvents graffiti, a new form of expression among Tehran youth, as something beautiful. "I think the message [of my art] is the people have changed - especially young people."
He showed early promise throughout his training and has now exhibited in several shows from Tehran to New York and London, including Whispered Secrets, Murmuring Dreams. Thanks to Candlestar, he is now a well-established artist sold in the most prestigious auction houses around the world.
Darioush Gharazad's work is currently featured in the exhibition Selseleh Zelzeleh at the LTMH Gallery in New York.
