Omid Hallaj
Omid Hallaj was born in Tehran, Iran in 1980. In 2009, he graduated with a B.A. in Painting from Tehran's Elm o Farhang University. Since 1996, his work has regularly been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows. Taking inspiration from dream-like visions, Omid paints a lost paradise with human in the most primeval state emerging in the midst of luxuriant vegetation and unidentifiable animal like creatures. Omid's work addresses both the beauty and the process of Creation and man's alienation from nature, and from himself.
Omid currently works and teaches in Tehran.
