Shahoo Babaie
Born in 1980 in Marivan, Iran, Shahoo Babaie studied painting in Tehran. The subject in his work is often difficult to discern. Some of his paintings are given concrete names, whereas others dissolve into almost total abstraction. His style is characterised by the use of a distinctive palette of earthy or wahed-out tones.
Shahoo Babaei is now a member of the Iranian Society of Painters, and has exhibited a number of times in Iran and in group shows around the world, including in Candlestar's Whispered Secrets, Murmuring Dreams in London.
