Shahriar Tavakoli
Born in 1969 in Tehran, Iran, Shahriar Tavakoli studied photography at the Art University in Tehran. His colour images of family members present an intimate warm domestic world. They display a sensitive touch and a wry tone with sprightly colours and patterns. These photographs reveal an awareness of artifice at work, for they are candid, as the black backdrops and the mirror in a group shot makes clear.
Shahriar has exhibited in many shows worldwide, including Candlestar's Whispered Secrets, Murmuring Dreams.
