Prix Pictet 2009
The theme of the 2009 Prix Pictet is ‘Earth’. Almost 300 submissions were received for the Prix and the shortlist of 12 photographers was announced at the Rencontres d'Arles Photography Festival on 9 July 2009.

The exhibition of shortlisted work was held at the Passage de Retz, Paris between 22 October – 24 November 2009, where the winner of this year’s CHF100,000 Prix Pictet, British-based photographer Nadav Kander, was announced by the Honorary President of the Prix Pictet, Kofi Annan, on 22 October 2009. American photographer Ed Kashi was also invited to complete a commission to record a sustainability project supported by Pictet & Cie. As in 2008, the Prix Pictet exhibition will tour internationally from November 2009.
