Global Photography for a Sustainable Future
Over the past few months Candlestar has been working closely with Pictet & Cie, the leading Geneva-based private bank, to develop the Prix Pictet – a global award that recognises the power of photography to communicate messages that matter to a mainstream global audience. Candlestar will act as the Secretariat for the Prix Pictet.
The Prix Pictet has been conceived on a scale that matches the significance of issues it seeks to address. The Partners of Pictet & Cie, together with global media partner the Financial Times, aim to establish this annual award as one of the world's great prizes. The award is open to photographers of any nationality. Entry is solely by nomination and the Candlestar team are working with a global panel of nominators to find images that fit this year's theme – water. more..
