Our advisory team is led by Candlestar Director Fariba Farshad, who was recently featured in Financial Times’ How to Spend It magazine. Fariba was born in Tehran and has worked for many years in London to raise the profile of contemporary Iranian art on the international art scene, most recently staging the exhibitions The Masques of Shahrazad and Iran Unbowed.  

Fariba is currently leading a team that is continuing Candlestar's tradition of showcasing new artists from Iran through the development of an exhibition that will be shown in Europe later this year, and at the same time she is working on a major Abbas Kiarostami retrospective with partners in North America.
