The exhibition "Collected Memories – new trends in Iranian painting" will be at the artspace gallery in Mayfair www.artspace-galleries.com/ from 7 - 28 October 2007. The exhibition is designed to introduce the works of more than twenty young, dynamic Iranian painters to an international audience. The collection includes more than one hundred paintings showcases works by painters who have already sold work at international auctions. Many more of them are already attracting the attention of international collectors. Although the paintings differ in technique and theme their juxtaposition shows undeniable common features. Artists Programme lights up Gulf Art Fair
The programme of artists' projects devised by Candlestar for the inaugural DIFC Gulf Art Fair was widely regarded as one of the highlights of the event which ran from 6 – 10. Sculptures of Parviz Tanavoli sat majestically beneath the breathtaking DIFC gate while the work of Conrad Shawcross, Patricia Millns and Emily Young were among those that graced the perimeter of the Fair and the beach beyond. Although the team has considerable experience in developing international projects this was the first time they have worked in Dubai. It will not be the last. An exciting new programme of arts events in Dubai is currently under development and will be unveiled later this year.
