Gerry Judah's Solo Exhibition, Babylon, is now at Flowers East Gallery until 2nd January 2010

"What city is like unto this great city... upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon, the Great, the Mother of Harlots and the Abominations of the Earth." Revelations 17.5

Gerry Judah’s exciting new solo show, Babylon, has been given an extended run at Flowers East Gallery in London.  The exhibition will now close on 2nd January 2010.

While Babylon derives inspiration from biblical stories and such works as Breughel's 'Tower of Babylon', these paintings present imaginary broken landscapes, reminiscent of modern, war-torn cities, with their stairwells and satellite dishes, shot through with wiry networks of communications systems. Judah responds to the images of war and natural disasters, which have increasingly become part of modern consciousness - he constructs the skeletal remains of buildings to recall their impact on urban landscapes.

All of the works in Babylon are available for sale.
