The programme of artists' projects devised by Candlestar for the inaugural DIFC Gulf Art Fair was widely regarded as one of the highlights of the event which ran from 6 – 10. Sculptures of Parviz Tanavoli sat majestically beneath the breathtaking DIFC gate while the work of Conrad Shawcross, Patricia Millns and Emily Young were among those that graced the perimeter of the Fair and the beach beyond. Although the team has considerable experience in developing international projects this was the first time they have worked in Dubai. It will not be the last. An exciting new programme of arts events in Dubai is currently under development and will be unveiled later this year.
