The Prix Pictet will be judged by an independent judging panel and the winning photographer will receive 100,000 Swiss francs plus the opportunity to complete a commission related to a project supported by Pictet in the field of environmental sustainability. The shortlist for the inaugural Prix Pictet will be announced in June 2008.
Short listed work will be exhibited at a major gallery space in Geneva in October 2008, supported by a high quality catalogue.. The Financial Times will publish a special supplement to coincide with the event and the winner of the the 2008 Prix Pictet will be announced at a gala awards evening held at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris at the same time. Plans are currently being developed for a short tour of the shortlist exhibition prior to the launch of the 2009 Prix Pictet at Davos in January 2009.
