The exhibition is a unique opportunity for new and established collectors to acquire exceptional works of art from the Middle East. For the first time visitors will have the opportunity to see such a number of works by Iranian women of international repute outside Iran and experience the captivating creativity with which these artists express issues and ideas from which many have shied away.

The Masques of Shahrazad includes work by celebrated Iranian artists such as Pariyoush Ganji, Maryam Javaheri, and Mansoureh Hosseini as well as Farideh Lashai, Golnaz Fathi, and Farah Ossouli, alongside younger artists who are beginning to register on the international art scene, namely Samira Alikhanzadeh, Shadi Ghadirian and Tahereh Samadi Tari.

With a unique portfolio ranging from emerging Iranian artists to more established Candlestar's reputation for facilitating arts projects in this region has enormously grown during the last years.

Most of these artists have recently built impressive reputations and are now represented in major international collections. Iranian art is receiving enormous attention globally with artists commanding record prices at latest auctions.
