The Candlestar arts team’s growing portfolio of international clients has been enhanced with their appointment as co-producers of a major new exhibition of work by emerging artists from Iran. The exhibition "Collected Memories – new trends in Iranian painting" will be at the artspace gallery in Mayfair www.artspace-galleries.com/ from 7 - 28 October 2007. The exhibition is designed to introduce the works of more than twenty young, dynamic Iranian painters to an international audience. The collection includes more than one hundred paintings showcases works by painters who have already sold work at international auctions. Many more of them are already attracting the attention of international collectors. Although the paintings differ in technique and theme their juxtaposition shows undeniable common features. In their personal way the artists aim at grasping and fixing places of memory through which today's Iranian society identifies itself. Click here for a preview of the show.
