Condé Nast College
of Fashion & Design
In an intensive twelve-month project, Candlestar worked with Condé Nast to help them develop every aspect of their new College of Fashion and Design.
Condé Nast has been at the forefront of fashion and lifestyle publishing for over 50 years – its roster of publications includes such iconic titles as Vogue, GQ and Vanity Fair. This project gave us a perfect opportunity to apply our expertise in major educational start ups, working for one of the world’s major publishing companies.
We worked with the College Principal, Susie Forbes, to develop all the organisational, educational and logistical aspects of the new College which will be based in Greek Street, in Central London, and will admit its first students in 2013. Candlestar played a key role in the appointment of architects for the new building.
With Candlestar’s guidance the new College will become a model for twenty-first century learning, incorporating the most advanced educational methods together with a programme of special lectures by leading practitioners in fashion and design. We also played a key role in the development of the College’s certificate and foundation diploma programmes.
Candlestar applied its considerable expertise in educational marketing to the project – developing the prospectus and the website and a graphic identity for the College. In addition to this we developed a range of policies covering the student admissions. We also drafted a suite of policies and procedures that make up the College’s staff and student handbooks and conducted negotiations with several prospective validation partners.
