London Business School (LBS) Photography Awards are now open for entries

Candlestar is pleased to announce its association with the London Business School (LBS) Photography Awards.  Now in its second year the LBS Photography Awards aim to champion photography that challenges commonly held perceptions of environmental, social and economic issues. Inviting submissions of five to ten images from both professional and amateur photographers, the Awards aim to shine a light on the ways that business shapes the lives of individuals, communities and the environment.

The 2019 edition takes a new theme, When Worlds Collide, to highlight the power of business innovation to join together previously disconnected ideas. A starting point for the broadest range of creative interpretations, this could showcase diverse groups coming together in friction or harmony or consider human interaction with the natural world.

A jury made up of photography professionals and members of the academic community at London Business School will shortlist eight entries that they feel present a powerful, fresh perspective on the theme. The shortlisted photographers will be exhibited at LBS’s London Campus, where the winner will be announced as part of the exhibition’s opening night on 8 May, 2019. The winning entry will receive £ 2,000 cash prize and feature in the London Business School Review (LBSR).

Applications must be submitted by completing the online application form at [www.lbsphotographyawards.com.] This is an open call for entries. There are no entry fees. The deadline for submissions is Friday 22 March, 2019 (23:59 GMT).
