Born in Iran in 1980, Anahita Ghasemkhani received her BA and MA in Fine Art from Tehran University. She is a member of the Iranian Sculptors Society.
For her, the city and its belongings, people, houses and their rooms all have a special kind of charm and attractiveness. Her rooms are empty of people but we can feel their presence without real existence. Life and thoughts of the owners of the rooms are painted on them.
Anahita has participated in many group exhibitions such as ‘Arte Laguna Prize’ 2009 in Venice; or ‘Little sculptures’ from 2005 to 2009 in Tehran; and her artwork has been selected for the ‘Fajr international Visual Arts Festival 2009.
